7. Cooperation with Tourism
The objective of this module is to teach how to develop sustainable tourism in a protected area.
The main purpose of this module is to support protected area managers and other stakeholders in planning and managing visitor recreation activities and tourism within protected areas, so that tourism can develop in a sustainable way, respecting local conditions and local communities. A key message is the importance of managing resources and visitors today so that tomorrow’s visitors can also experience high-quality sites and the conservation values these places represent.
