About this course
This module provides general information and guidance on management planning in order to understand and learn the definitions, steps, general principles, process, organizational structure and public relations which are important in preparing the management plan. Preliminary planning of the management plan is very important in the management process and therefore this module will lead to several lessons on this topic, in order to guide how to design and manage a management plan in a protected area. Management planning is a continuous process that requires ongoing improvement and development to achieve a successful protected area. This is why a manager must learn how to successfully lead a management planning process in the protected area so that all stakeholders benefit and ensure strong protection of the natural and cultural values of the area. Knowing the steps and principles of management planning gives the trainee the knowledge of how to manage a management planning process in a protected area.
